Do you possibly have oversized tires on your V-10? If so, I know the shift parameters are pretty much locked in on the factory burn (but Jody at DP chips is about to come out with a chip for the V-10 that will take care of that problem.)

John is very pro-reactive(?) when it comes caring for his customers. I know he will want to see you satisfied.

I'm running 265/76/16 on it. I have John's cell and will give him a call today. Will keep you posted-Thanks.

Update-John is working on getting a "reprogram" of the PCM. But I haven't heard anything yet. Lot's of stuff available currently for diesels nothing on the V10 to change the shift patterns under engine management.

I've got a JW Towmaster in my 2000 7.3 SD. Love it. No problems in 13,000 miles.

Welcome to FTE.

There is a lot of changes that happened in the last 4 years. Good job using the search thingy.

I am glad that MK160 likes his JW. When I saw the price in the first post of 2,900, I thought that is a great value. Is JW still putting in the 6.4 convertor? and what did you pay for the JW, MK160, four years later?

Wow, talk about thread resurrection. Well since it's alive here's my input. My JW in a V10 Quigely after 50,000mi is still going strong. Shift input sorted out shortly after John installed it by tuner friend of John's. Flawless ever since. So JW is still in business. I thought his son would have taken over by now. Like some others have done, I actually watched him rebuild my tranny. His knowledge and skill, like any other master craftsman of his trade is incredible and a sight to behold.
Let's hear more about your upgrade with the JW....
