Tire problems

Well wal-mart strikes again. Lisa bought some tires at the Manhattan store about a month ago and purchased the road hazard on them. A couple weeks ago one blew out and she took it to the store in Emporia to get replaced. At first they said they couldn't because the tire had been discontinued at wal-mart and that the Manhattan store should not have sold her the tires let alone the road hazard. But after talking to them a bit they went ahead and put on a new tire just like it at no cost.

Well today she goes into the store in Manhattan with a flat (the tire had a quarter inch hole in it) and at first they told her they wouldn't fix it because they don't sell that tire nor have they ever sold that tire. When she showed them the recipt they had to change their minds a little. But they then said they would just plug the tire and not replace it. When she said that wasn't a good idea she was told that they were the trained professionals and they new what was best. While on the subject she brought up the fact they had sold her tires that were not in the stores anymore. Their answer was that that was her problem not theirs and oh yeah your road hazard is no good because we don't carry those tires.

Well needless to say that store sucks big time and as for us they will never get anymore money from this family.

I would complain to the head office. Not to anyone at those stores but to the regional headquaters. I'd make coppies of my paper work and fax or e-mail it along with the complaint.

Give them a chance to make it right. Then if they don't I would never ever spend a penny at another Wal-Mart if I didn't have to. But I live by the rule burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me.

I agree - keep the money local. This is especially important in our little towns.

I'm sure Sam Walton wouldn't be too proud of the employees they've got in most of their store now these days if he was still alive.
