Red face VIN # Help

I need help in breaking down the following VIN info.

E14JH701612
090 J E140 589 A 17
3600 129 4000 55

Any help would be appreciated.

E14 = Econoline van, short body
J = 240 engine
H = Lorain Ohio assembly plant
701612 = June 1965 serial number (1965 model)
090 = wheelbase
J = Rangoon Red paint
E140 = Econoline van model, short body, 1/2 ton
5 = red standard interior
89 = van body style
A = 3 speed transmission
17 = 3.50:1 heavy duty axle (9 inch)
3600 = 1/2 ton GVW
129 at 4000 = certified net HP at RPM
55 = St. Louis sales district

Hope you havent put decoder ring away

I just found a Econoline in a U-Pull-it......I plan on stipping eveything I can and putting it away for my 1963, But I need help decoding the door tag.

Thanks Jim, I went today and got the cross member and doghouse and radiator, going back and get the rear end tomorrow

lost vin plate

i need help i threw out my vin plate with the door. i know dumb. anyway i need help finding other id markings for a e-100, 1963, pickup. i have started to look on the frame and body but cannot find it.

floor board under the lip of the dog house.
right rear corner brace on some.

The spare tire brace is what he means. It will usually have a serial number stamped into it.

T 170 6Cyl CID motor
H Lorain Assembly Plant
686345 Build a number sequence. It shows the truck was built in May of 1964.

Hope that was helpful.

Thanks 66gpw For Your Help My Econoline Is Getting Ready For The Road Just Trying To Get The Tittle From The Dmv. I Also Want To Put In New Tires And The Rugular Black Rims But I Dont Know What Size To Get Them . Do You Know Where Can I Get Some Caps For The New Weels That I Get Thanks Again

1964/65 Ford Motor Company Serial Numbers

1964 serial number range: 465,001 thru 580,000

1965 serial number range: 580,001 thru 732,000

686,345 = 1965.

Thanks Numberdummy One More Question I Want To Put In This 65 Motor Into A 63-64 Pick Up Will It Fit In The Same Position As The Othere One? If Not Would I Have To Do Many Modifications In Order For The Engine To Fit Please Let Me Know
