WOW finaly 08 superdutty vs 2007 chuvy hd 07 dodge hd.

Ford 6.4 V8 turbodiesel 350 hp/ 650 pound torque
6.8 V10 gas 365hp/ 450 pound torque
5.4 V 8 gas 300 hp/365 pound torque

Chevy 6.6 V8 diesel 365hp/ 660 pound torque
(O.M.G. Again aluminium heads on a diesel.)
6.0 V8 gas 353hp/ 373 pound torque

Dodge 6.7 turbodiesel 305hp/ 610 pound torque
(O.M.G. less hp & torque @ previous engine.)
5.7 gas 330 hp/ 375 pound torque.

Ford towing cap. 12500 /19000 lb.gooseneck
Chevy towing cap. 12100/16000 lb. "
Dodge towing cap. N/A /16350 lb. "

Ford payload cap. 2850/6000 lb.
Chevy payload cap. 2295/5307 lb.
dodge payload cap. Still trying to figure by loading the truck with bags of sand. (N/A.)

At least I feel Ford already start doing his homework. Superior in all aspects. There is already an article in the comparison between these 3 heavy Trucks.Well this is all by now because I get my article today and I am going to enjoy reading how the superdutty smashed the other two. Wow you should readed two. Its title DETROIT'S NEW HEAVY HAULERS MORE TORQUE, MORE PAYLOAD, MORE EVERYTHING! FORD SUPERDUTTY STILL THE BOSS?
CHEVY HEAVY DUTTY GM's BEST YET. DODGE RAM HD A PLAYER AT LAST.

Gotta giggle at you aluminum head comment........The Isuzu has been out now for 6 years(?). Never have heard of it being a problem.

Did we not actually read the HP/Torque numbers of the diesels???

Did we forget that the Allison is a 6 speed to our 5 speed?

Glad we still have the highest rated tow/payload numbers.......that is important to the people who actually buy these trucks to pull max loads.

Can't wait to read those results.......hope Ford pulls it out. But I don't think it's going be the "smash" you think it's going to be.

And here's hoping the testers don't look at the front of that homely '08 Super Duty.

Are you talking about the 6.4? Last I heard Ford is looking at their own diesels due to their divorce from International. ( unless something has changed over the long weekend )

V10 numbers are off as are the Cummins 6.7L.

And your spelling could use some work.

I've seen those Cummins numbers before AND the ones with the 650 pound feet of torque.

Wonder if there's 2 different power levels depending on equipment???

I "thought" the PSD was detuned for the 450.....but all the latest numbers show the 350/650.

The 450 is detuned only if it has 4.88 gears.

no the 8.1 is not dead, it is only available in the kodiak 4500 and 5500. due to emmissions. but for pickups yes.

the cummins has a chassis cab rating that was posted... the regular pickup gets 350hp and 650 torque. (at 1500 rpms I might add) where gm's 660 is at 1600..... and ford's is at 2000.

My coment on aluminium heads was based on a Trucks magazine article I read. It sais GMC declared that new duramax 6.6 will be equiped with iron heads. Aluminium heads were a mistake. They said aluminium heads couldnot support big amounts of power. About the smash, Search for Harley davidson diesel f250 vs 2500hd chevy vs 2500 dodge hd. www.Trucktrend.com and you will see how ford did it towing an rv. Chevy towing identical rv. and dodge also. Ford's power was described as a locomotive, chevy underpower, dodge decent. OR search for power stroke 6.0 vs duramax 6600. in the same web page. You that understand pretty well english will understand why I think ford will smash chevy and dodge again. About the trany. Allison was cuoted as a very good transmision, but the torqshift was the best. The veredict is not given by people loyal to each brand. They torture the trucks and test them that is how they cuote each truck, engine and transmison.. Please dont blame about my writting . thank u.
