I used my AC for the first real time since I bought my truck. I was rather diappointed in it. It just blows cool air with the setting set for the coldest possible. It seems to be warmer on the highway and cooler on back roads. Maybe time for a charge? How much does this cost? Any opinions?
When I bought my truck new the air was not that cold and I took it to the dealer. They said it was within specs. This year I finally had it recharged and what a difference. I should have had the service rep ride in it on a hot day that first time instead of riding around for 7 years with a partially working air conditioner. It's a good thing it doesn't get that hot here.

My 04 150 didn't have very cold air when it was new. Twice it went back to the dealer and twice they said it was fine...blowing 48 degree air. I finally just bought some cans of refrigerant and using a buddie's manifold gauge set I added a little at a time until it got cold...blows well under 40 on the highway now.
