New Truck Question

All

As many of you know I picked up my truck on Tuesday and have been letting the wife drive it around town for the past week. My question is what is the break in period and when should I start to see a MPG increase. Right now I'm lucky if we see 12mpg. I have not had any of the TSB's completed on the vehicle yet (mirrors or transmission).

Mine is the EB 4x4 with Heavy Duty Trailer

Hoping I will get close the at least the 17's people have been getting

Thanks

WC

With 70% fwy driving at 70mph, I am seeing 15.5mpg. I doubt you will see 17 unless you are 80%+ fwy at 70mph or less.

We average around 14.5 with not very much highway driving. A lot better than the 11 I was getting with the '99. I drive like a bat out of hell for the most part, so I'm pleased witht the improvement.
