I'm wanting to change out the fluid and was wondering if there are any pros/cons with a flush? I have a 2000 EX 7.3 4x2 and would like to go synthetic, only w/ the tranny.

how many miles on the trans??flushing the trans is good..changing the filter is good too..some say synthetic is good..some say not so good on an old trans..other members will chime in with better answers but they need the miles first..good luck.

If you want to make sure you get the most you can, remove the cooler lines and blow them out. See if you have the drain plug on your TC. If you do, drain it there. Drop pan.

I'm about to change out my valve body for a BTS and switching to Royal Purple MAX ATF. I've got 120k miles, so I'll be watching this thread closely as well.
