81 ford Bronco Wheel Base What is it?
I need to know what the wheel base is for a 81 bronco. I have a 51 ford 1/2 ton and would like to put it up on a 4x4 chasis. Will the 81 bronco work. Reason is i have a chance to buy one very cheap. My 51 ford is 114" center of hub to center of hub.
Any other advice on this change?
Thanks,
Steve

If you look in the Bronco posts, you will find a lot of URL links to many, many Bronco sites and someone should have the sales/specifications brochures posted that will give you the wheelbase. If I'm not mistaken, on the home page, look under "Forum" and there will be some of those specs. The Bronco is known as a U-150. I do know a Flairside is 115" and a Styleside is 117" for the shortwheel base models.

I would look more towards a 78-79 F150. I put a 62 body on mine and ended up with only about a 2" gap between the cab and bed. It looks fine and probably would be less noticable on your truck. I believe the wheelbase on the 79 are 117", but I cant remember for sure. I am pretty sure though, that the bronco will be too short. This meas many hours lengthening the frame or shortening your trucks bed.
