A couple weeks a go I used my jackall to help the neighbor move a car that we sold for him. I put the jack in the back of my truck. Well today I needed it again and it was gone. I usually put it behind my truck seat. I forgot to do that this time. I suspect it got stolen out of the truck box at work. Lots of undeseriables around there. Usully they leav my truck alone. But if they saw it laying in the back of the truck not locked down there was an opportunity for a trip to the pawn shop for them.
yep that sux. my FIL had all his fishing gear stolen from the back of his truck last year. was in the pawn shop a while later for something different, and here was his fishing gear... maybe you should visit the pawn shop glen...
It was probally not here. Stuff around here has been pretty well left alone since the one guy who had vehicles here was booted of my place when I caught him with keys to my quonset from the previous owners. They lent him keys when they owned the place to get into the quonset and he made a set of his own. Now they know why stuff of theirs was missing too.
I believe it was taken from the back of my truck at work. Lots of the wrong people walk down the street where I park. Usually my truck gets left alone. As long as there is nothing inside that looks tempting it gets left alone.
Yeah a caged in compound. 2 weeks ago they found a badly beaten up body of a young male. He lived after lying there outsid ethe compound all night in a thunderstorm. Littered all around him were hypo needles that were stolen from the hospital used sharps conmtainers that were riped from the walls.
The security hardly goes over there. They are scaredy cats. Besides the theives just need a good set of wire cutters and they are in.
Staff with newer cars and vehicles that need protecting park there. Gives them more peace of mind.
I started making box covers for my truck several years ago after I found some things had gone missing out of the back of my truck. The old addage "out of sight out of mind" has been working for me since I did that. Also, I see sherm made a real nice cover for his truck box, I may take some ideas from his as his looks a whole lot better that mine.
today I wnet to move my truck to avoid a parkinbg ticket from the street. You can only park for 2 hrs at a time. Well I saw a wheelchair in the intersection of the one street. So I brought it back in the hospital. Kids probally played on it. I noticed it was a brand new chair that I had just assembled brand new last month. The foot pedal was broken the iv pole was broken and twisted. That was it for damage. Replacement foot pad 150.00 Iv pole 75.00 The whole wheel chair 9000.00 a chair. These kids and people just do not know the costs and have no respect for it. But first ones to scream where is the cahirs for them when they never think they stole them to sell at PBR auction as one fella has been doing and no one does anything.
