Anyone can promise you the stars and the moon. However, the question is what happens AFTER the sale is done? I could have got a Ford reman for about half what BTS would cost me. However, on top of changing my cooler, they will probably void my warranty if I have any problems because they see a 4 in downpipe and other mods.
So, what good is it if the company gives you a lifetime warranty but finds all sorts of ways to chisel you when you need it most? As I understand it, the new 6.4 comes with a warning sticker. Mod anything and your warranty is history. What is that warranty worth? I know of a guy with a 3500 Ram with a diesel. They voided his warranty because he was towing a camper. He had to fight tooth and nail before they said it was going to be covered. He had to prove it wasn't overweight, etc, etc. So, that is why I went with BTS. Because I don't want to screw with them come warranty time.
The name of the shop is Rockin S' Performance and they are just to the North in Fort Lupton. A few of the CO Powerstroke Club guys suggested them and clued me in that he can get the BTS ordered and installed.
I've met Rocky and hung out with him (plus Brian, Cale, Tony W, and Dennis of ITP) at his shop for a while one day last summer while at Truck Fest. Rocky is a super nice guy - right on par with Brian. He'll be able to take care of you for sure if you're in the Denver area.
You know, for ATS being located right around Denver, there were a lot of Colorado based Powerstrokes running BTS transmissions...that's got to tell you something if they don't even want to buy from someone in their own back yard.
If truth be told, I don't think that BTS is the only place for a high quality trans. There are others. The question is how well they take care of you AFTER the sale. I have yet to hear of anyone taking as good car of the customer AFTER money has changed hands, has anyone? Yes, before and while I am screwing the hooker, I am King Stud. The question is whether I am still King Stud to her AFTER I have paid the money and am broke.
