hi all, I have a 95 F-250 4x4. on my way to work today it was acting like I was going over moguls when I was braking. Not at first, when applied at 55-60 mph is ok, when down to slower speeds to stop its bad . Just started today.I work 2nd shift so I can not look at it till morning.10-11 am that is. Brief history-Tires only about 15 mos old look good, front shocks same. 1 new axel joint new lower ends in last 12 months.1 side new hub and spindle and bearings as of 6 months ago. Only had the truck 2 years. 6 months ago I had the front tires off and the pads were very thick 1/2" plus thick each. I did plow this winter , but only my driveway and my kids driveway ten minutes away.Other then that I do not drive w/plow on. Just giving this info for some insight as to possible cures.I can't put it in shop yet due to IRS issues. not much extra cash for about 7 more weeks. Will be glad to get them done with. Any insight/input will be appriecated, thanks Bob
Second the motion on the warped rotors. To prevent this from happening again after you fix it. Torque the lug nuts (not with an impact wrench) using the proper tightening sequence. The pretty colored torque extensions that most tire shops use will not torque evenly and most of the "techs" never heard of a sequence.
