When I bought my '02 2 years ago, everybody at work thought it was new. (After all, it is a piece of eye candy) I WAS going to purchase a new '05, but got cold feet thanks to FTE. The trusty 7.3 just keeps chugging reliably, & that was the best decision I ever made.
Pretty Good Neal. HAH HAH. Your sooo right. Hey wait to you need to replace a key!! It's about $135.00.. 50 for the key and 75 to program it!! Moral of the story? DONT LOSE A KEY!
If you have the original key you can do it urself, the directions are in the manuel. If you don't then you can use AE to reprogram keys, i have not had to since i have no computer chip key....
Auto-Enginuity, its a super duper scan tool thing with other options like looking at sensor stuff and stuff like pats key programming(and one day tires size adjustment). I have never done the key programming maybe someone with more knowledge of the thing will tell ya how that works.
Your f-250 had a comp chip key? I thought that was an excursion only option.
