i have an exhaust leak between the exhaust manifold colector and the tailpipe. what could be done to fix this. have taken to an exhaust shop and they put a heat rated silicone in the joint. this lasted a couple of days. what can i do? 2003 5.4 L screw, 4x4, single exhaust.

 

Take the exhaust apart and clean the surfaces of the ball and socket that seal. Its quite a chore to do unfortunatly. because the factory exhaust system doesnt come apart that easily when they get this old.

Might be time to look into installing a new exhaust system, if your looking for some better sound.
