I need to replace a split EGR tube and plan on cleaning the upper plenum and throttle body since they need to be removed anyway....will have a Fel-Pro upper gasket set ordered soon.
Is throttle body cleaner safe to use on all these parts? Is there anything else that should be replaced while the plenum is off? I read somewhere about replacing the coolant temp sensor (ECT)...it's cheap enough, but don't know for sure where it's located or if it's a common problem on these motors.
How about fuel injectors? As far as I know they're fine, but should they be removed, cleaned maybe replace o-rings? (I've run injector cleaner through the gas tank a few times and done Seafoam thru a vacuum line and gas tank once.)
Never done this before and would like to do it right the 1st time, so any tips, tools required, advice are appreciated!
Thanks for your help.

There are tons of things that would be easier to do with the plenum off. To name a few: Fuel injectors, TPS, IAC, tune up parts, EGR valve + position sensor, PCV valve, rocker arms etc. etc.
Whether or not it is all wort it depends on how good you want the motor to run.
