Largest Tire possible on Stock Axles? '86 Bronco
Hi All,
I am making my 1986 Rust bucket Bronco a off-road only truck to play around with... The stock axles as you know are a Dana 44-TTB and a 9inch.
My Question is this:
What is the largest Tire I can put on with out stressing the stock drivetrain? I obviusly will be working the truck a little harder since I don't care about the body....
Any thoughts?
Uzi... Yamaha Sleds, Honda Bikes, and Ford Trucks....

I have seen tires up to 44's on those axles. I have ran 33's with no problem. The 9" will handle 44's with no problem. It is a very strong axle. The 44 TTB is the weak link though. I do know of some people running 36" TSL Swampers on Bronco's running the EXACT axles you have.
