89 f250 ttb add a leaf
hey yall, im new to this forum so im apologizing ahead of time if any questions i ask have already been asked and answered by somone else. i just purchased a set of skyjacker shocks and rough country 2 inch leveling kit for my truck. and im just plain baffled on how this goes in cause the instructions are very weak and generic.how in the world does this thing go in, if anyone knows please fill me in haha.i know the little half square spring alignment deal on the front of the spring has to come off, but its kinda riveted on there or some how attached to the spring. im just wandering what needs to be done here

i've never heard of a leaf sprung ttb axle. anyhow, all you should need to do is remove the u-bolts, i'd do one side at a time. the axle should drop enough out of the way to remove the center pin holding the springs together, use a c-clamp to hold the springs together so removing the center bolt is easier. once you have the bolt out, slowly loosen the clamp. put new spring on bottom of pack, and use c-clamp to bring all the springs back together. put in new center bolt and remove clamp. put u-bolts back on and that should be it.

I think all the f250 and maybe some 350's had the leaf spring fronts on them from
82' to 96' and the f150's had the coil spring ttb axles.
let me add you should put yer truck up on jacks high enough to allow yer front axle (per side ) to drop, then procede as 95ford4x4 lined out in his post.
