got new gauges .... what should the read?

Hi all! I just got an AFE intake, 4" exhaust, a TS 6 position chip, and a set of gauges.

I got a tranny temp, EG temp, and boost. What SHOULD these run at, and whats dangerous?

Thanks!

Tranny plumbed directly into service port in the drivers side bolt will pull temps from 150 to 180 emptly in Phoenix on the freeway. Exhaust on mine pulls from 650 cruising to 800 hard accel while rolling, dead stop stomped up to 1000. Warnings after 1200 for longer then a few minutes. Boost with stock stuff is 26 and up. I have no idea how much it takes boost to blow stuff apart.

On my totally stock 2002 F250, I used the following as top numbers to follow: trans temp should really not get above 200* (never did except for once towing), EGTs should not be above 1250*, and max boost I ever saw was appx 20.

Keep in mind that it was stock exhaust and all........

Egt is the one to watch the most, 1250 is a red line most use, you can exceed this for short times and not hurt anything.

Tranny temp, max is about 225. You should see most time about 50-80 above air temp, but when towing and in stop and go it can climb higher. 230 you need to pull over and put in N for a bit and let it cool down

Boost... With your chip as high as it goes... 25-27 . Stock turbo is rated for 25#'s, the more you go over that the harder it is on it... Will it blow at 26... no, but its just out of its MAP range. Stock heads hold to about 40#'s boost.
