Torque Converter, any one know a good one?

Any one know of a reasonably priced Torque Converter? I would like to get something better than the stock one that i have and i am pretty sure that i am getting a little bit of slippage.

Yep, for a good one they are. The link I gave you is for what I believe is the same TQ BTS uses. I've heard they are very good. Some also recommend this one http://www.suncoastconverters.com/fo..._products.html

If it is slipping that bad, I would flush and put in another stock tc, I think they are around 300 but not sure. I wouldn't want to put a good TC in front of a box that is due anyday to break. Something goes amiss there, more than likely the tc is gone with it. Or just go for broke and get it done right with a full rebuild. All the aboves are excellent suggestions.

There are two I would recomend. I have a Precision Industries torque converter which is the one that Brians Truck Shop uses. They are Purple. I have at least 10,000 towing miles on it and the thing is awesome. The lockup takes a little getting used to though. It is just like another gear. I paid around 850 I think, with a military discount. I noticed a huge differance in tranny temps as well and Overall feel of the transmission.

The other one I wold recomend is John Woods Atutomotive out of Holtville California. I have seen his shop, and what he does, and he makes all his own TC stuff. Second to no one. Strength, Quality and price. The guy is simply remarkable. If it says anything, Maddog with the 10 sec cummins powered 97 F-350 has asked John Woods to make a trans that won't break.

I will say though Not sure about John Woods, but I do know that if you ever replace or blow your tranny, PI will rebuild your TC for free.
