Temp Rise Really Fast.
okay so i finally got every thing put back together... and now two things,..... she runs kinda sluggish and she gets hott really fast. the first time maybe two miles and she was at the L in normal.... and when i got back home that hose going from the engine to the radiator was steaming... so i tightened it.. now thatdoesnt happen but it still overheats......my dad wants to know how to get to the thermostat....is it possible that this has happened as aresult of not running for two weeks short of a year?

The thermostat is on the engine. Fallow the upper radiator ohse to the engine, that's the thermostat housing. Yes if the truck sits that long there could be corrosion in the cooling system, or just a stuck thermostat.
I'd replace the thermostat and gasket and try that. Make sure after you're finished to get it full of a 50/50 water antifreeze mix, and full after the engine temp is at a good running temp.
