is my van a 2.4 or 2.8

just got this van a week ago. looking for a service manual but i dont know how to tell if its a 2.4 or 2.8. does it matter? how can i tell the difference? any help would be apperciated. thanks in advance.

either will work for the service manual, but being a 61 it will be the 2.4. god i hate liter's!

your van has a 140 in it unless it has been changed, which is very likely.

140 and 170 only have bosses for 3 freeze plugs, 200 has bosses for, or 5 freeze plugs. [some of them only have 3 plugs with 2 bosses unmachined].

140 thru 200 have the starter mounted above the bottom bellhousing bolt, 250 has the starter below the bottom bellhousing bolt. [250 mounts low like a v8].

ya know bill, i can never remember to put the last 4 on there. got no idea why, just always like the 140 better!

oh well, i'm an okie! what the hey!
