If I am thinking right that should be about a 35 inch tire and I am running 35x12.50x16.5 on my 76 high boy if that helps

There are some pictures in my gallery of my 78 F-250 with 35s before I put on the 4" lift, and they were too tight. I wouldn't recommend it. If I were to not have put the lift on my truck, I would have gone with 285/75-16 tires. They measure right around 33", and look great on stock height trucks if you ask me. 35s on a stock height Highboy work fine, but since you have a 78, we're stuck with the lower stock height. Let me know if you have any questions.

It is possible. If you dont have much spring sag, they will be fine. But most of these trucks (do to age) have weakened springs. Then it is better to stay with the 35's.

Only one way to find out.

I put 35's on my 79 250 AFTER I installed add a leaves all the way around. Offroad I could get them to rub, never around town. Sitting stock 35's would rub constantly.
