Question 1994 and 1989 head changes?

I'm getting ready to complete my preperation and set-up of putting a low milage 1989 F250 5.8 in place of my original 1994 F250 5.8 motor and am in the process of component swap over. The first thing siginficant I noticed was the change in head design in 1994, mainly no crossover tube in back of the head. Now, I have no problem blocking off unnecessary air pump crap provided it doesn't adversely affect the 1994 stock computer. I'm planning on putting in a Crane Cam CRN-444215 in the 1989 block due to the 1994 roller lifter change and wondered about any siginicant changes in the two head designs (1989 and 1994)> Any knowleable information would be appreciated.

I'm just wondering if I am alot ahead of the game if I remove the old 1994 heads and send them out for a valve job and attaxch them to the 1989 block with the new camshaft, timing chain, and lifters I was already planning on?

After doing some more research, I guess I'm limited to the CCA-35-255-5 non-roiller cam in the 1989 block. What about the heads...can one use the later style heads on a non-roller block?
