Basically I think that's what the CVR does, but with a bimetal switch instead of a MOSFET. (Someone on here told me that, you or AXracer, I suspect) I have a friend who is a retired Hewlett-Packard engineer who designed me a very complex circuit to ring some church bells. A dozen transistors, 4 custom programmed microprocessors, it was a work of art. I built it and it worked great. This is a much simpler application, but with the amount of time and effort put into that, the Runtz were a bargain at $45 for all three.
