I have wheeled on the beaches of Texas and the gumbo mud and the truck did awesome. I did have better tires though than what came on it. Geolanders A/T II by Yokohama. I went went wheeling with a few guys in Scouts that were much more capable than my truck because they had 35" tires lifted with lockers and all the good stuff and I kept up with them with out getting stuck. I have 05 150 3.73 LS 5.4 EXT CAB. 6.5FT BED.

i've been off-roading with my 07 F150 with 3.55LS she handled everything i could throw at it, even a mud whole that when i went through it came up to the ford emblem on the grill. It was a beast, with a lift kit and off-road tires she will be almost unstoppable!

I would have been laughing with joy after doing that. That's awesome man! I would love to see what there full capability's are but I dont have the guts to push my truck to the limits because most the time something is going to give and I dont want to pay the big $$ to fix it.

I don't have an 07 but, here are a few pics of this season on the ice. I still had the factory Ameritraks at this point in time. They did alright, but were a little iffy at times in the deeper slush, but I got through it. I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Firestones handle it next season.

The Taco as seen in the background here wasn't 4x4 but did have LS. He stopped there and walked because he started to get stuck. I noticed that the smaller trucks really had to work to get through some of the deeper drifts and slush. I don't know if it's the added weight and torque of the larger trucks (a lot of them were Fords BTW) but they seemed to handle it much better. Often you'd see the smaller trucks with all 4 wheels spinning whereas the the full sized trucks seemed to barrel right through. I did well with the LS, but did have to turn on the 4x4, as you'll see why in some of these pics:

The LS wouldn't cut it through this slush though:

The LS works best in 2wd when on wet grass. When others are throwing into 4x4 no reason here. Just roll on the throttle.

Yeah, this truck doesn't slide much when it's wet outside. It mainly just hooks and goes. If you nail the throttle right though, you can slide through interesections and do some wicked 1st and 2nd burnouts when it's wet out.
nope... even with the stock 3650 tranny with the 3.38 1st gear it wasn't bad... 315/35/17 nitto DRs help on the street... and so do 26x10x15 MT et drags at the track

after i put the 4.30s in, i still had the stock gatorbacks for about a week until my DRs came in... merging onto the freeway in 3rd, powershifting 4th and getting sideways at 80mph makes for some fun times and screaming girlfriend...

I need to get some 33s and some gears for the truck... I love how quiet it is compared to the mustang, so I think other than electrical fans and cai, those will be the only mods...

I've gotten mine into mud on numerous situations, nothing real serious, but enough that could cause trouble. When i needed the L/S it seemed to work ok, i've never gotten it stuck. It did cause some slidingwhen trying to back a trailer up a muddy trail in 2 wheel, around a hard corner. It just made the truck slide. Granted the trailer didn't help that any, but it wasn't a heavy trailer. I couldn't steer it around the corner in 4 wheel, it was too tight, I wound up disconnecting and pushing the trailer back and then backing the truck up to it. I could get a better line when I didn't have to worry about the trailer. Granted thats above and beyond a normal 4wd occurance. As far as logging roads and what they offer it's worked great for me. Even kept me going on top of the heavy ice from a storm this winter, strong enough this 6k monster didn't break through. I can't complain.
