I currently have a 97 F-150, Flareside with the offrroad package, The truck is a 4.6 with 56,000 miles, I am unimpreesed with the way it shifts, It has a sluugish response, I changed the filter a little difference not much, I was wondering if anyone has installed a shift kit in a truck like this, and if they liked the results, I ordered a kit from Transgo, should be here in a week., I was also wondering, what fluid to use, it calls for mercron, but i would like to use B&M trick shift fluid, will this work, If anyone has any insight into this please let me know.

Not sure how the B&M fluid works but changing my supercrew out to straight F-type made it alot firmer with loads and when accelerating, don't notice any difference under normal driving. It's got 26000 on it now did this at 12000...no problems so far. Whit
