hey guys,I have a 93 bronco 302.It always starts initally in my driveway. However sometimes after sitting 45 min. to an hour it is hard to start. The fuel pump kicks on and it turns over but it won't fire.I have to crank her over five or six times before she starts.Once it is running it runs great,no hesitation or stalling.I have had it to the shop twice. The first time it got a tune up,wires ect.The second time an egr valve and sensor still not fixed. If anyone has had the problem or has any ideas i would love to hear them.thanks
try having your fuel pressure regulator tested. it keeps the fuel injector lines at the right pressure and lets excess gas return to the tank via a return line. when you shut the engine off it closes the valve to keep the line pressurized for easy starting. if the valve is defective it will let the gas drain into the tank and your fuel pump has to pump the pressure back up before your injectors will spray. goodluck
I have the same problem with my 92 Bronco. The spark plugs fowl out and must be changed or the problem gets worse. I had the same problem with my 91 Saturn recently and replacing the fuel pressure regulator fixed the problem. I am going to try this first but if anyone has any other suggestions please submit.
