selling my truck

1996 F350 Crew Cab shortbox, Powerstroke 4x4 5 speed.... only one Ive ever seen of this vintage in cc/sb (have seen a couple F250s). Has about 279,000km, LS rear, 4.10s. Thats a sterling 10.25/HP D60 w/zf5 5 speed. Runs excellent. 40/20/40 captains chairs front and rear with air lumbar support, cd player, driving lights, aux. idle controller, year old glow plugs, power windows and locks, a/c that works, keyless entry/alarm and remote start (still dont know how to work the f-kin thing) 3.5" straight exhuast.
It does need a couple things, a windshield, and it needs a new flywheel ($500-$800 for the complete kit) But at $10K its still a good deal.
If someone wants to buy it and cant put the lift in themselves I have a buddy that will do it for $200 extra, all spring front and shackle flip/rebuilt packs in the rear. This truck has been very good to me, Im selling it because I cant drive for a while, and I want to get a newer superduty.
price is $10,000k firm. Shop around, its an extremely fair price.

Pics:

soundclip (click the pic to hear):

It doesnt have the procraps on it anymore, I took those off and put some Goodyears on it, same size though...and more tread. Tires are all at 80%

and dont worry, Ive still got an F150 Ill be driving once I get my license back, then when my ol lady gets her license Ill be buying a regular cab superduty diesel. Ill miss my truck, but I have to get rid of it for better things to happen.

5 years ago, 18 y/o got and Impaired charge..a felony under the criminal code of canada. Got a DUI along with that. Lost it for 15 months, big fine.
Year later got a DUI and 2 speeding tickets while my license was on probation...lost it 9 months.
Last year got a speeding ticket again while my license was still on probation....lost it for 6 months. Didnt know I was suspended till 7 months later (last month) so of course the suspension doesnt start till you acknowledge it.

That is crazy, all that hassle because of stuff you did 5 years ago, and a speeding ticket was te "final straw"?

its because when you get your license back its on probation for a year, any tickets and youll likely loose it.....since my record looks very bad on paper i say by by to license. I got the ticket on a steep hill where the limit slows from 80 to 60 half way down, and to top that off 2 lanes merge into one...all that at the same time and the cops were sitting at the bottom of the hill. I wouldve disputed it but I had a horribly cracked windshield and an albertan license driving a truck registered in my name in BC. Plus he only gave me 80 in a 60....but I was doing 100 to get past the ****** who was about to cut me off.

Oh yeah man that sucks. Its too bad, but sometimes its better to take the ticket, then deal what may happen if you dispute it.

I called two Ford Dealers, one in Prince George, one in Williams Lake.
P.G.= $8500 wholesale, $13,500 lot price
W.L.= $9000 wholesale, $13,000 lot price
These prices are just book value going by the year, engine, model and km without seeing it.

Nice looking truck. Shouldn't have much trouble selling it. I was at Lake City Fraud a couple weeks ago taking a gander at some of their used Superdutys.

I know the exact spot you are talking about Pud. I have often though as I came down that hill many a times if I was going to get yanked. I do like the "those that don't like speeding tickets lift your right foot" sign at the top of both the hills. It is like the "click clack front and back" signs we saw in Australia for wearing your seatbelt. Too bad on having to sell the rig. I like it but got no moola to get it.

hah yeah that spots a SOB they can sit in the bottom and shoot all the way to the top of the hill.
Ill miss the truck but at the end of the day selling it will bring good things, and then I can justify buying a newer truck. I want to get a 7.3L superduty regular cab and hack it down into a shortbox. Cuz by then the ol lady will be driving and I can buy a family wagon (exploder) when we need the extra seats.

A superduty shortbox would be really cool. i wonder if the cut frame would handle the 7.3's torque though?

the way I see it, the s/d frame is fully boxed so if you cut a chunk out and plate in a smaller boxed section inside the origional frame, 9"-12" on either side of the joint, then maybe some plating on the outside of the frame it should be plenty strong. Ive seen it done on a 2wd one.
