12.66..thats pretty good....im sure my truck can get that..410FE.it has prenty of performance parts....top to bottom...KN air cleaner, holley 750 carb, edelbrock mid rise intake, ported heads, bigger valves, forged pistons 11.1comp., Hbeam rods, a scant crank..then it has long tubes.electric fans.the truck has a TCI stage 3 tranny..and the rear is a 4.56.. and the only thing the engine has to run is the alternator.....what should i run in the quarter..the truck weighs 3800lbs and i weigh 210....

Russ I like messing with you on that one. My mind is not working today got to much going on at work today!! yeah my only bleeds off about 1 compression so it helps.LOL

I would estimate you a should be close to me. What kinda cam you running?? Or Stall? Our trucks probabaly weigh about the same. Sounds like we have a real similar setup as far as engines. Check out the website on my signature. just copy and past it in the address area. Their is some videos of my truck running. Just curious but is it s stock bore on your engine? If it is bored .030 it should be a 416Fe? Or check out my gallery plenty of pics of it. I have not yet shaved any weight off of mine so I am still running all that extra steal!!

i do belive its bored out .03 so ur probably right about the 416..im not really sure what cam it has..it has a rough idle though..as far as weight....about half of the beds floor is cut off...the guy who had it was going to tub it...but he never did..so for now its like that.....makes the truck louder also with the 3" dumps

I cut the flanges off my headers and made a extension of about 2ft to get the exhaust past the tranny. But when i remove the mufflers it sounds rather good. Mine is bored .40 over that is were the 418 comes in. decided to get a little crazy. I know a guy that had a 13 to 1 390 that was runing high 11's in a '66 ford truck. Just had better heads than me. So you should be low 13's or 12's. I believe a 12 is possible. Like I said depends on the heads and cam.

i want to run it already...the only problem is that when i was test driving the truck...i did a drag racing launch off of a stop light..and it dis aligned the axle..so the u-joints on the differencial move up and down as the truck moves...i need to get that straight then run it....maybe next friday ill run it at the track versus a civic or something..jaja

My 390 came in at just about 11:1, and I ran it on 93 octane. With that phrase deleted cheat setup to keep the timing under control
