Bolt hole blueprints

Heyo,

since I do have some time on my hands over here in Iraq, I wanted to try to get to an old DIY project I wanted to do, which is design a serpentine conversion for my 390.

How could I get a hold of the external dimentions, center-to-center bolt hole specs, etc?

Although I love all the looks of the aftermarket stuff, I really want to do a DIY on this one... sourcing different pulleys, planning spacers, seeing if I can look for Ford alum mounts from later models that can be adapted....

If the big guys can do it, why can't I? The only thing I regret is that there ain't any reverse rotation water pumps for our FE's...

What exactly do you need? I can help possibly.

On the WP's there were reverse rotation 427's used in marine applications. I'd think one of those would work. OR you can get an old HM marine timing cover that used the SBF RR waterpumps. There are ways around that...

Thanks!

Well, to say the least, I am thrilled about the possibility of reverse rotation pumps out there... How would I go about finding out more?

Manufacturer's names, details... that would help my search.

But I am also looking for block face measurements (placement of bolt holes, etc.) that would let me at least get a start on pulley placement, spacers, and so on.

I don't go out side the wire much, and I quite often have a little time to try to draft something up. I'll be getting a few weeks of EML (environmental morale leave) soon, and I'll measure up the alterator, PS pump, A/C compressor, etc.

I'll have to come back, of course, and dodge the occasional un-aimed rocket or mortar, but hey, at least I don't have the crazy Killeen drivers trying to run me off the road...
