93 - 5.8L EFI (MAP) to 7L or 7.5 EFI (MAF)

I have a 93 Bronco. I would like to here options on swapping the 5.8L to a 7 or 7.5L. Did any 429's or 460's come with MAF EFI?
What years to look for. I thought about rebuilding my 5.8 and building a 393 Stroker. I currently have 200K miles and want to do this. The stroker ideal was getting close to $3000 budget when I looked at converting the MAP system to a MAF system.
A 460 out of wrecked F-350 with wire harnes and computer should be less than $2000.(Guess)
Give me your thoughts

I am taking the most convenient way out and buying A turn key 351w. It has 400hp which is all i need to pull a camper. I thought about a 460,but than I would have to change transmissions and bellhousing. I now have A 302 and a 351 will bolt right in there. I guess it depends what u have. If u have the large bellhousing. Than GO FOR IT!! Although the 460 will get worse gas mileage. But if that is not a problem. I would do it..

Check the '80 - '96 Truck and Van message board. I believe there's a recent post on the subject of converting a 460 over to MAF with a link to more info on the subject. Good luck!

Thanks to those that answered.
I have decided this ins not the best option.
I am going to buy a mass conversion for a lighting 5.8l
The guys at ford said that they looked at all the pins and everything checked out.
BUT,,,They said Ford Performance has not gave them the OK to say it is....Iguess I will take the chance..
It will go on a 393 stroker.
If it all works, I will publish the info.
bye for now

you mentioned that you were going to go with a mass air conversion kit instead.. which kit were you looking at?

and have you change the exhaust yet?

Your 393 stroker Windsor project sounds cool! To answer your 429/460 question,I believe all EFI7.0L&EFI7.5L big-blocks were MAP(speed density electronic),with the exception of the '96-'97 EFI460s which had OBD-II.I think these were the only factory 385-series engine to get MAF(mass air flow).I'm not aware of any MAF conversion kits for the EFI429&EFI460 big-blocks. I wish there were! I'll be swapping a EFI460&E4OD into my '90 Bronco XLT,soon.
