Thanks for the Blue Oval tip.
Blackstock had the best answer, heard the same thing too. Also I think what happened. Your dealer ordered in November but the order was not accepted into the production until January due to the circumstances that Blackstock said. As I followed mine ordered 1-27, I was told it was accepted for production on 2-14 with a build date of 3-19 arrived on a Saturday 3-31. One of my other local dealers had one ordered for stock in December. Just arrived this week also. They called me to come take a look at it. Too late ordered from another dealer and have already been enjoying it.You are going to be so happy when you pick it up. The extra wait will make you appreciate even more. What a great job Ford did on the 450 and all 08 Super duty's

Did you notice that the order recieved date was 1/29 not a November date. Did your dealer wait 2 months to order your truck?
1/29 should still be here already

Actually the order received date is the day the dealer puts in the order. Accepted for production can be much later depending on availability. This is when you get a VIN. Like when I ordered my mustang 2 years ago the order recieved date was 3 March and scheduled for production/received VIN 6 weeks later. When I checked that order with the guys on blue oval the 3 March date showed as order received.

My truck was 2 and a half months from order to delivery, but sat waiting for a railcar for 3 weeks. The Mustang was another story as the allocation was an issue there and it took 4 months to arrive.

Boy hot topic here, I feel like I'm defending the dealership brotherhood and that might be a challenge, lol. The order received date is the date it was ordered, however without allocation to build the unit it wouldn't matter much when the order went in, other than to plead your case with Ford that you an aged sold order that need filling

Yeah, I understand that. I mentioned earlier that the dealership I bought the Mustang from had an allocation of 1 GT convertible for the year and it took 18 weeks until it was delivered. My view was that, if ordered in November(more than 20 weeks ago) the dealer would have to have practically no allocation to not get the truck produced until March/April. The 29 January date makes sense to me as the date the dealer put in the order.

p.s. without an order it doesn't matter what the dealers allocation is it won't get built.

Dang it. Does that mean we are not going to have a hanging?
Guess that means I will go back to this looooong wait of waiting for my F450 to be built. Sure wish Ford had some web cams at various places on there assembly line. I could at least watch trucks being built while waiting for my own to be built.

LAUGH all you want these trucks are very poorly enginered it costs a bundle to keep them on the road once warranty is up. just one example my manifold ac hose has a crack in it, replacement cost 560.00. and that is on a 2004 6.0 and the 6.4 is even harder to work on. THE the new truck itself is fords best yet but the engine is next to impossible to work on, the cab must be removed to do even the simple repairs. all you have to do is open the hood and look for the ac compressor or how hard would it be to replace a head gasket.

This same thing could be said about 95 percent of the vehicles sold today. So one just as well buy the vehicle they want, which for many is a new Ford Super Duty.

you will find out how out how much it costs at about 40k on the clock, just remember it was a friendly warning. hope you never have any trouble just dont believe that it will be the case, and we know ford will not stand behind the new engine if you have any problems, just ask any 6.0 owner who has had problems. good luck with your truck.
