Tranfer case swap question
I'm swapping out a Dana 21/NP435 for a NP205/NP435. There's a bracket on the left side of the 205 that mounts to a bracket on the frame, with 2 big body mount-looking bushings between the two. I'll have to drill for and mount that. My question is this: should the transfer case portion go above (to absorb the weight of the larger tranfer case) or should it go below (to cushion torque and twist) the frame mounted bracket?
I'm pretty sure this transfer case was transplanted to the donor rig, since the frame mounted bracket isn't square with the ground (just looks different) nor are there holes for this bracket in my frame.
