kicking around 302 fi to carb.

I know i will need a new intake, ingnition box, fuel pressure regulator, and a carb of course but what am i missing. See i just tore the entire engine down do to blow by in my 91 bronco full size and found the #8 piston broken, so i have been kicking this idea around. the truck will be offroad ONLY and i want to get rid of all emission parts. Im not familiar with carbs.. any help would be great.

You'll need another distributor also. The EFI unit works without the computer, but doesn't advance or retard the timing to suit the engine's needs.

EFI works so much better than carbs... especially in off camber conditions, cold starting, at altitude, I don't know why anybody would go back. If your truck has an E4OD auto you'll need to keep the computer to run it anyway, or change it too.
