Ignition Aux output
Ok im looking for a wire that comes from the ignition so that my compressor will only run if the truck is started ive got a relay i just need to know if there is even an extra wire under there that i can use to "switch" the relay when i start the truck anyone know?

I know there is one behind the radio, I am not sure what color the factory wire is, but if you have an aftermarket radio it is the Red Wire. There is not much current on it, just enought to turn on your relay. From behind the radio it is easy to get a wire to under the stearing wheel. You can just put a switch in-line with that wire and then it will only work when the key is on AND the switch is on. Hopefully someone will jump in and let you know the color of the factory wire to tap into.

There are plenty of wires down by the fuse box that are hot only when the key is on. I just can't think of what color they are right now. Somebody else here should be able to help you though.
If you want to use the radio wire that would be fine, you'll probably have to pull the dash apart to get at it though. It's probably easier just to use a test light down by the fuse panel to find a wire.
