Holy old thread, Batman!

More than a year old

But I don't blame you ... it's definitely OK. Many of the people on this thread would be interested in your prices.

It's not a good idea anyway, because the price might jump because of availability or something else, and you'll have PO'd people Or over-quote something when it's cheaper from another source.

Thanks Ed!

Alumimum Diff Cover

I will post the part# later... however I got a finned, aluminum diff cover for my 05 FX4 from the dealer for fifty-something dollars. Now the only catch is the 12 bolts are seperate and cost....no crap...almost as much as the cover. So I purchased my bolts from a bolt supply. I also found a gasket at O'riellly for less than 10 dollars, just my deal to use gasket.

A little late to the party and I haven't posted for two years. I have a diff cover hardware question.
I still have my '97 F-350 and tonight I was swapping out the fluid in the 10.25" rear and I rounded the head on one cover bolt. I don't have a thread gauge but I can borrow one tomorrow if need be. A mechanic friend of mine has an assortment of bolts and he is thinking 5/16-18 off the top of his head.
Is that the consensus ?
Thanks for the assistance.
