the fx4 package comes standard with 18" premium chrome cladd wheels. does anybody have the fx4 package without upgrading to the 20"
what brand tires come on the 18" wheels. I know the 20's come with goodyear wranglers?

My fx4 came with 18" continentals. I promptly sold them for 500 bucks and put on some toyo mudders and 20" american racing wheels.

 

Oh yeah, I also swapped the grille and bumper for chrome. I bought the fx4 for the black leather and two tone gray bottom. I wish it had temp and compass though.

The FOMOCO brochure shows a Red FX4 with body colored grill/bumper. Ummm.......

 

thanks for the info. if truck comes in with the continentals, which are not alterrains, might ask the dealer to do something for an alterrain tire since it is the off road package.

 

brandon did the dealer do the swap on the bumpers and grill? Going to order as soon as i get some things worked out. Really like the fx4 interior but don't like the color keyed grill and grey bumpers. Did the swap cost extra?

 

I'd love to see pics of that! I was thinking of doing the exact same thing. If you don't mind, please let us know how much the grill and bumper swap cost.

My dealer was unsure about that... the swap. Said it could not be done, at manufacture anyway. Asked if it could be done after the truck arrives because I don't like the grey... see what happens.

I love the interior of the FX-4. Can't wait to get it.

 

What I did was take my chrome grille off and repace it with a FX4 grille with a billet insert. Also had the dealer fill the Superduty script and repaint it. While I was discussing it with the body shop he went down the list of grilles to make sure he was ordering the right one. I believe the price on a chrome grille was $475. I have a slightly used chrome grille in the garage if anybody wants to make an offer. It is an easy swap, just 7 plastic keepers 2 bolts and lift it off.

 

I did the same as Brandon, bought an FX4 for the black leather and the headroom with no sunroof. I would like to get a chrome bumper and grill. Does anyone know where you can see all of the available grills? There seems to be more options on the chrome grills every time I see a 08-09 driving around. I looked on the ford parts website but they don't have pictures just the prices.

Brad , in chrome there'sreally only 2. The regular(like mine) or the chrome package(cool, but not as beefy looki ng). They're both about 450 retail 375 with good dealer discount. Bumpers were about 325 after discount.
