Question sport comp pyrometer gauge bulb

I cant seem to figure out why now, no matter which bulb I use, my pyrometer gauge is always dim and hard to see. looking inside where the bulb goes in it looks like i need a longer length bulb. I dont believe this is the case as it worked fine prior to bulb change. Could something have shifted inside gauge blocking the light? The gauge does work fine when running though but when i shut off the truck it doesnt go to 0 it sticks at 200-300

Hey Dually - since I don't have a clue what a prometer is, maybe one of the guys in this forum can help you.

Good luck and I hope you find your answer.

Look at Dennis's LED's at ITP. I ran them in my autometers when I had them and loved the lighting.

My isspros are bright, in fact during installation the boost was bright enough to the point where i took a sharpie to the bulb cover like diesel manor recommended in their instructions.

I have the wedge-type 4 dot LED bulbs (green) in my gauges. They are alot more "brilliant", not really that much brighter where it dominates inside the cab at night, but every nook and cranny of the gauge is filled with light where it should be. Well worth every aspect of changing them out.

Pyrometer tells temp of the gas/exhaust from your engine...maybe someone can better explain it but thats the jist of it. Are all these suggestions just lighting or are they new gauges also?...mine are getting older as the pyro does stick
