'07 Expy mileage vs. '06 Expy

I am just interested in finding out how the new 6 speed tranny in the '07 Expy is as compared to the older 5 speed tranny. What kind of mileage are the '07 Expy's getting? Just curious, Thanx!!

To Monsta

Thanks for the correction. I forgot about them being 4 speeds because I was so excited that Ford decided to compete with the Japenese.

Last tank for my EB EL 4x4 was 15.0 in mixed. I got 19.5 on a recent trip doing 70-75 mph. I'm running Mobil1 5w-20 now.

Third tank on 07 w/ towing package is 15.0 average City/Highway. I got 14 on the first tank because I was "driving it like I stole it". If it gets 1 more MPG after break in, I will be happy. I also filled up, reset the MPG guage, and drove a steady 75 on a fairly flat highway. It was getting around 19.6 driving like this.

14-15 MPG, 80 miles on it so far...

Wish it were a diesel.

update to my earlier post:

I recently changed my oil and used redline 5-20 full synthetic oil which is reported to have a fairly high molybendum content, and noticed an immediate 3/10 of a mile increase in mpg. same driving habits, same roads.

I plan on taking a trip to florida from dallas later this spring so I can better document highway miles. the 19+ some folks have posted is encouraging as I was only planning on 17 or so......

Has anyone calculated the actual MPG to see how accurate the dash readout is?
