Well, I found out yesterday at the end of the shift that I still have a job, but I'm being demoted to a trainee in another plant. Same complex and they're letting me keep my pay rate for now. I'll be in a small liquid plant instead of the ammonia plant. A lot less to know, but more work. Lots less pressure and stress, but less benefit to my career as well. There are definite pros and cons. But the main thing is I still have a job.
That's good news... I guess. I feel for ya. Being under pressure worrying about things, makes you want to get in your truck and drive!!! Hope things look up for you soon.
Good show, this saves the trouble of looking for work. What are the job openings like in Manitoba?
You can always move out here, lots of work.
Make sure you stop before hitting Alberta though, I`m sure you want to stay in this chapter.....
Well, the wife would like me to continue to look for something a little more family friendly. I'll keep my eyes open, but there's not too much in my area for jobs that actually pay well. As far as I'm concerned I'm one of the lucky ones.
Yeah no kidding that may explain why me and my dad are close now when i was a youngster and he worked in the oilpatch he was always gone hardly saw him

He probably got real far ahead though too by going out there. It has its pros and cons!
You will be back in the groove real soon I`m sure.
I hope they will keep your pay up, it hurts to go down as the cost of living keeps going up.
Is there much of a difference in the pay scale?
