Gearing up for a road trip in the 67

Going up to my parents' place on Friday while the kids are on spring break. I could take the minivan, but for some reason the 3 kids would rather be squished in the front of the truck. My nephew is looking forward to it too, he has a 72 with a 300/C6 & wants to race. Today I lubed up the steering & ujoints. Later this week I'm going to get a few extras, like points, ujoint, heater hoses, and change the oil. All the gear oils have been changed recently. I think it's ready for a 1200 mile round trip.

Oh, forgot to mention that part. Going to Albany, OR.
If this truck can last for 40 years just fine, I dont think 1200 miles is too muck to ask. We'll see come Friday morning.

Just make sure to bring a role of duct tape, a spool of bailing wire, a fingure nail file, a match book, leatherman tool, and an old panty hose and you'll be fine. Nothing lasts forever but old Fords and stone.

It actually has bailin' wire holding up the muffler, so I'm ahead of the game. I havent put on the hedder yet, going to do it up there, my nephew is giving me his dual exhaust so he can go with 3" single.

If you don't mind a slight detour you're certainly welcome to stop by here along your way. If you're going up I-5 it's about an hour out of your way (each way..!)
