Hello- New to the Forums, have a question

Hello everyone.
I'd like to take this time to introduce myself to the group.
I'm Scott.
I Drive a 1989 ford F250 with a 351 windsor, bolted up to the ZF 5 speed transmission.

A few weeks ago, I noticed when I was in a higher gear, like fourth or fifth, and I stepped on the accelerator, the RPMS would go high, and it was acting as though it was slipping a bit, like I was riding the clutch (I wasent). This was about a month ago, and it has continued to worsen. Now, even second gear seems to slip, (I used to be able to have the clutch out completely, step on it, and the tires would spin) so I've been starting out in granny gear and that doesnt seem to slip, or maybe it's just so low that it doesnt have time to slip. Reverse also doesnt slip much, but I know low gears tend not to slip as bad when a clutch is wearing out.

So i'm pretty sure that it's the clutch, but i'd just like to get any input from anyone who may have burned out a clutch with one of these ZF's.
Me and my dad are mechanically inclined, so I'd be changing it myself, so if anyone has any pointers or any thing else that may go wrong, or will be a pain in the butt during the swap, that'd be helpful.
Thanks a lot
-Scott

Time for a new clutch, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, and have the flywheel resurfaced if necessary.

Also add a slave cylinder (not sure if it's part of the throw-out bearing on that year).
