What's happening back in Lexington, NC or Davidson County in general?....Is Sheriff Hege still the county mounty?

Not a lot going down here.Sheriff Hege got caught with his hand in the cookie jar so to speak he was convicted and put under house arrest for a while.I don't know if he has finished this sentence I just moved back to Lexington a few weeks ago. But We still have the BBQ Festival.

 

I do miss the BBQ festival!...Been showing people out west how pork should be cooked, and they have been paying me to do them shoulders. Might have to stop doing plumbing for a living...LOL

Sweet do you mke your own sauce? What about the slaw?

 

And are you cooking pork at the WA G2G? I think we should get a thread started for people throwing in some change for some pork. MMMMMMM, GOOD

 

Better beleive it...I stick to making it piedmont style...Slaw is a given...

 

Stop 'stirring it up' around the country and read the threads in the chapter....I'm not bring my big smoker to make vanilla ice cream!

 

But it's so fun. Of course they're getting a little P'OD. Maybe I should back off hmmm???

 

If you have a good sauce recipe and don't mind sharing would you email it to me? My wife says mine is too spicy

 

Will do Rebel...Also have some recipes from the east...they are less spicey, but work as mopping sauce.

The members from Davidson County must be hanging out with Hege...I can't get much info here!
