I hear and read lots about "Cat Back", "H Pipe", "Y Pipe" etc....Whats the best for my 5.4 2004 F250....I know that Headers/Duel Exaust is better but on a budget, what can I get the most Bang for my Buck? I'm a huge fan of Flowmaster and through a previous post I think I have settled with the 50 series Flowmaster. I'm installing a K&N this week and I want to continue the upgrading while I have the bug.

I use to have a 98 F150 gasser a few years ago. The three things that really wake up that engine is, (1) K&N (keep the intake air cool); (2) Up-grade the exhaust. Doesn't need to be dually, just improve the flow. Lose the stock muffler and cat. I always liked the flowmaster sound. Nice rumble without being too offensive, until you put your foot down. (3) Chip it. You'll pay a little more at the pump, but what the heck...it's not a focus now; is it.

I recently bought the Supertuner flashpaque and ordered the K&N....Cant keep my foot out of it so far and I guess paying a bit more at the pump for right now isn't my main focus....I just want the "I'm gonna eat your family" sound. Anything extra from the exhaust improvements I'll welcome.
