Hello all, New user here.
I'm having a bit of a problem with my 99 250 superduty with 75,000 miles.
I was driving on the highway last weekend and all of a sudden the red brake light and yellow abs light came on at the same time. The red brake light shut off and on a couple of times over a period of about 15 minutes of driving but now both lights remain on constant. However the brakes feel fine, I pulled over and checked underneath the truck for leaks and all but see nothing. Any suggestions based on this info as to where to start looking for answers?
Thanks a bunch
I would start looking at connectors in the ABS system. There's a fault somewhere in the system. It would be quicker though to have the codes pulled. This will help you determine exactly what is wrong.
I won't be able to check until tomarrow, but can low fluid cause both those lights to stay on? Or water in the lines? Brakes feel ok. I'll start checking electrical connections this weekend but I have no scanner to pull codes...
