Clutch saftey switch

I have a 92 F350 with a ZF tranny and the 7.3 IDI. Is it normal to have to push the clutch into the floor to start the truck? How can I tell it it is my clutch saftey switch of if the cluthc needs adjusting? IT is my first 5-speed and diesel.

It is normal. If you look up under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal you may be able to make a small adjustment so that you don't have to push it so far down.

Yep, gotta push it through the floor. I still have the old Dual Mass Flywheel and boy is that thing tough to push

Same with mine, gotta put it to the floor when starting. Only have to push it 3/4 way to the floor when shifting though...

Your safety switch is about to the end and should be replaced. I've put 2 in my 93 so far. Sometime it might not work and leave you stranded someplace you don't want to spend the night.
