Pulling a 5th wheel camper about 8500 lbs.
Got the cruise set on 63, every time I come to a hill or long uphill grade the truck naturally shifts down and the turbo psi guage goes up to about 30psi.
About halfway through the hill I hear a high pitch whistle and then the turbo guage drops to zero and the truck starts loosing power. After I get to the top of the hill the guage kicks back in and the truck starts gaining power. Is the turbo overheating or what? Outside temps was about 72 degrees. About midway through the trip the engine light came on and stayed on the remainder of the trip. Acouple times the light that looks like a wrench came on but would go away when I turned the ignition off. I want to be somewhat prepaired before I call the dealership
Could be simple, let the tech take a look at it. Baro sensor could be out of range. I wouldn't be to concerned as of yet, still under warranty for peace of mind.
