Hi guys, I am looking into starting my own business in CT. I want to get into a hand car wash/detail business (also installing car accessories/tints) in the Orange/Milford area. I am familiar with small business as my parents own three businesses. I am curious as to how the zoning works as I will have to look for a commercial lease, and as to what other permits I need. I will also have to find a plumber who can do some plumbing at the new location. Any input would be appreciated.

Good Luck...I think half the battle is location location location. As you know, there have been sooooo many car audio shops that have gone under on the post rd in Milford area. I think the detailing you would make out better. You have the expierience.

yea, I actually have a great location in my mind (sorry, its top secret ) and I just went to go take a look at it tonight. I think it would be the perfect location that would accomodate my needs. Plus, it is fairly close to the mall where all the business is being drawn to. I really have to find out for sure if the town has a regulation code on waste water management...
