transfer case on a 97 ranger
on my transfer case it is leeking from what looks to be a stud with a bolt on it. its a very small bolt and u can see it from looking towerds the front end of the truck and look to your upper right hand corner of the transfer case it seems to be leaking from that bolt any ideas on what it is and why it my be leaking i havent had time to explore it yet any help would be great

Sounds like the gaskets gone next to the stud. I'm not sure if you can pull the t-case without dropping the whole tranny, but it's a simple enough job. Just remember to use the recomended torques so that you don't destroy the new gasket. If you decide to do it yourself, invest in a good manual and ask the guys here for their input.
