transmisison identification

Sure this has been asked before but couldn't find anything on a search. What transmission do I have on my 03 explorer. 4.0L with 3.55 gears. Code on door label is "v". thanks

Checking in my Haynes Manual, It has the 5r55e transmission listed for all 2002-2003 automatics. LIsted for the E...4.0L SOHC V6, K...4.0L SOHC V6 flex fuel, and the W...4.6L SOHC V8. Does not show a (V). I would check the VIN # at the windsheild. The trans code is the # 8 digit on the vin plate, right? Don't understand why the door label would have a V. I also have the k code on the door label but i thought that was for the engine which would be flex fuel.

Further checking has given that the 02-03 transmissions are all 5r55e type. What # position is the "V" in ? Could be in refferance to paint, or interior color.
