best sct file/tune for mpg around town and highway?

I got my SCTXcal2 from Innovative Diesel, and the programmer there said, to get the best MPG, use the highest tune you have. For me it would be Extreme Race (most power tune they offer), but I don't want to drive it around town with that tune because of the TC lockup built into the tune. I run mine in the street tune, and get about 13-14 MPG on my '06, most of my driving is in the city though.

I've got an exhaust and the SCTXcal2. I don't recommend replacing your stock air intake, unless your planning on some serious power. The stock intake systems are among the best on the market for the 6.0. You do have a 6.0 right? The exhaust I have is a ATS 4" turbo back system. I should tell you that my truck has only got 10,500 miles on it right now, and my MPG is slowly beginning to increase as the engine breaks in. Your axle gear ratios will effect your MPG as well, I have 3.73's on my SRW, CC, SB F-350.

got it...all i did on the air filter system was replae the stock filter with a tru flow filter, since the guy i bought it from had never changed the filter since he bought it and it was freaking filthy...the stock to replace was 80 the true flow was 90...with a lifetime warranntty...makes the turbo whine more thats it so far...just filled up yesterdya will find out mileage later on...last time i checked it was all stock last week and i got 14.4 mpg...mine is an 03 with 75k on it...

you know it actuallyis not loud at all..i just hear the turbo whine and thats it..it`s not annoying at all..which is what i wanted...i got it from big rolling power brp.com it is 649 and it was easy to install no welding all clamps...which is good cuz i live in mi. and it would rust out on the welds....

We have two specific economy files; one that can be towed with and one that cannot be towed with. The non-towing economy file will yield the best fuel mileage of any of the tunes; but will not yield a huge power increase over stock.

help...i got a check engine light--after programing my 6.o and driving it 200 hundred miles the code came up--- p132b---..so i hooked back up the sct and erased the code and then put it back to stock...also ..do i really have to disconect the fuel pump and electric fan fuses...found the fuel pump fuse..but the electric fan fuses? all i found close to that was a 10amp eatc module/front blower relay coil and a 40 amp front blower motor..are those the ones?
thanks

No, you don't have to pull any fuses on the diesels, that's for the gassers. I would remove any trace of your SCT and take the truck to the dealer. Come to think of it, I thought that there was a TSB for any 6 liter tripping that code. Look your truck up in the TSB/Recall section on the top of the FTE home page, and see if there is a TSB for it if you want, or just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. I like to be a little more informed of what the techs are doing to my baby

what kind of mileage are you guys with the SCT xcal2 getting? i'm averageing 13-14 stock and that's not highway driving but also not city either, just rural country roads, not a lot of stop and go like the city. traveling 40-50 mph on most roads.
i would love to get mine up to 16 or so and higher on the highway trips.
not sure about putting a tuner on it. i'm not into hotrodding the truck, it's for work. i just want better mileage.
